Joe Amort, President and CEO We are rebranding!
From Better Business Bureau to Better Service through IntegrityLink

As the Washington D.C. based U.S.Council of Better Business Bureaus closes the door on smaller Canadian BBBs, Windsor's Better Business Bureau opens the door of opportunity with a new name and a new vision.

With some creative rebranding, Windsor's previous BBB will now be known as IntegrityLink. Our members and the community won't notice any difference in terms of the reliability reports, exposure of scams, and protection that we have provided on behalf of both businesses and consumers for the last 36 years.

No longer restricted by the BBB rules, Windsor's new IntegrityLink is also looking to expand its services in support of local businesses. One such service will come from our new agreement with MyWclub® Canada.

With Windsor's BBB receiving over 26,000 calls a year from consumers inquiring about businesses, IntegrityLink will continue to provide reliability reports and handle written complaints. Our new service with MyWclub® Canada is a new online service that enables consumers to submit requests for any product or service they need and have them sent directly to businesses within our community. This provides consumers with the best option for a particular service.

In February 2011, the President of the U.S. Council of Better Business Bureaus, in Washington D.C, gave notice that he would unilaterally terminate all Canadian Better Business Bureau licenses, including that of Canada's governing body, the Canadian Council of Better Business Bureaus.

It appears the U.S. Council is integrating bureaus. The U.S. Council gave Windsor to the London BBB. However, the President of the London BBB recently stated, "Our intention is not to keep Windsor open."

When the Windsor BBB received the news, we refused to leave our community unprotected. Unlike other smaller BBBs that may close their doors, Windsor cut its ties with the BBB all together, took on a new name, and declared it “business as usual”. Most importantly, Integritylink is locally governed, managed and staffed and all money raised in our community stays in our community.
